Overload

I care and I care
and I care some more

All I’ve done is over care
Over analyze and over pray

I was told, if you love someone
the best thing you can do is
to pray for them
and I do

I mean, I will…
I’ve just never understood why
we pray for those who don’t
appreciate, love or respect you back
Why love…
when your energy goes into a selfish human
rather than one that gives you at least what they can
or have or… are

Is it the hopelessness in me?
The lost causes knowing I’d want someone to pray for me…?

Time goes on…
where art thou?
as I live in the photographs of my memories
of a man I’ve loved
